Mission
The Haverford Township Softball League is a non- profit organization. We are entirely dependant on
volunteers and the registration fees of the girls playing on our teams. We are committed to advancing
ASA softball within the township of Haverford for girls 13-16 years of age. With the integration of
the Brookline, Hilltop, and Westgate Hills Softball leagues, our sole purpose is to make
ONE exceptional township-wide league. We need coaches to volunteer and parents
to help with everything from practices to fundraising in order to be successful.
The primary goal of the Haverford Township Softball League is to provide a safe, competitive,
friendly atmosphere for girls to learn and develop softball skills to help them better compete at
the High School level and beyond.
We will strive to:
Be Competitive. We will stress and insure total team involvement from the first practice all the way to the playoffs.
Be Fair. We will emphasize the TEAM concept and Sportsmanship and Fair play. We will not support winning at any cost.
Be Organized. We have recruited 3-4 experienced softball people from each of the three leagues to hold key positions on the HTSL Board to enable us to be organized from the very start.
Be Safe. We will use all of our experience and resources to make safety our first priority.
Be Fun. These girls all attend high school in or around Haverford Township. It is our belief that they will have fun playing with and against each other at this level. It is our goal to make it an enjoyable experience while hopefully raising the level of play within the township.
Be Open. We feel we know the formula for success here, but are always open to suggestions from any of our parents that will help us reach our goals.
